A Remote temperature probe is used to accurately read the temperature inside the steam room and send it to the controller.

The use of the probe allows for control installations outside of the shower enclosure while still receiving accurate temperature readings from within the enclosure

Your Mr. Steam residential controls and accessories come with a 2-year warranty (from the date you buy it).
That means if anything goes wrong due to a defect in materials or manufacturing, we’ll repair or replace it—free of charge.
This includes:

To get service, simply return the product to a Mr. Steam location (they’ll let you know where) within 2 years.

📦 Something Damaged During Shipping?
If your Temperature Probe Sensor or other control parts were damaged in transit,

We’ll review it and offer a credit or replacement depending on the damage.
🚫 What’s Not Covered
This warranty does NOT cover items that are:

Used in a non-residential space

Damaged because of bad water quality

Improperly installed or used (anything outside the manual)
It also doesn’t cover:

Removal or reinstallation costs

Freight charges (unless pre-approved)

Products purchased before January 1, 2013

Anything bought or installed outside the U.S. or Canada
